Sponge bath.

Babies tend to have really bad skin, at least during a few days after being born out into the world and this is something that you will really be able to remedy one way or the other through a gentle sponge bath. Rub off the dead skin gently so that you make way to new skin without hurting the baby. Sure, the skin is something that your photographer will always be able to edit out of the photos that he takes from the baby photoshoot but you also need to understand the fact that it can take up so much time and hassle and something that you can do without in the first place if you make sure that the baby has been bathed accordingly when it all comes down to it. More than that, the sponge bath is also something that can help make the baby feel refreshed and comfortable which will help prolong your photo session better without causing any delays of getting you and your photographer to stop or anything like that somewhere down the road.

Mellow background music.

Have something playing in the background during the baby photoshoot and your baby will be comfortable and happier all throughout the time that he is there. more often than not, a photo session can have the tendency of being dragging and annoying for the baby and if you aren’t careful about it, you might end up cutting it should in the event that the baby throws a tantrum or cries or needs attending to and so on and so forth. Setting the mood or the vibe in advance by getting relaxing instrumental music played beforehand will elevate the baby’s mood and put him in a far better disposition once your photographer gets started on snapping photos of him. It helps if you talk to the baby every now and then as well. Let the sound of your voice soothe him and assure him that everything is going to be alright so far.

Warm hugs.

Babies are almost always photographed in the nude and this is the type of thing that you ought to prep for as much as possible. It can get pretty chilly at times and the fact that the baby is nude or half nude will turn out to double that over. Go out of your way to hug the baby up or cuddle up with him whenever in between shoots, just so that he will be able to re-establish his body temperature and so that he is kept warm and toasty all throughout the time that the photo shoot is in place.

Feed and burp.

Of course, you need to make it a point to get the baby fed and properly burped before the photo shoot. When a baby is properly feed, he is less likely to get grumpy or anything like that. When you get rid of the extra gases, he is less likely to end up vomiting or doing worse. And to be honest, you can do without any messes during the photo session.
